The Audi Q5 Hybrid is ready to hit the showroom in 2010 or in the early season of 2011. The compact luxury crossover SUV comes mostly unchanged for the next generation.

The Audi Q5 hybrid model is expected to be released first in United States, later in the other Europe countries and this depends on the success rate of the model. The major competitors to the Q5 version will be Mercedes Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Lexus RX 450 and Acura RL.

According to the reports from the Audi, the new Audi Q5 hybrid version will come with a petrol electric hybrid engine. The model will be designed and produced, based on the Audi A4 and A5 models. After the release of hybrid version, the Audi is in a plan to introduce more effective turbo diesel version.

The Audi Q5 hybrid version will be featured with all the essential luxury and entertainment features. The standard luxury features in the model include leather upholstery, power steering handle, air conditioning with automatic climate control and weather updates, XM satellite radio, front independent suspension, and audio system.

The standard safety features to be provided in the Audi Q5 hybrid model include rear view camera, four wheel disc brakes, park assist system, antiskid control, 6-air bags, traction control and electronic stability program.
