The Audi Q5, a sport utility vehicle is the first compact SUV from the German car maker, Audi. The SUV model has the seating capacity to accommodate up to five passengers. The current generation Audi Q5 offers is available in both the diesel and petrol versions. The Audi Q5 TDI is a 3.0 liter turbocharged model, while the petrol version is a 2.0 liter turbocharged FSI model. Both the engines are mated to only transmission, the 7-speed S tronic transmission.

Performance

The Audi Q5 TDI can produce power up to 236 hp at an angular speed of 6500 rpm, while the FSI engine can deliver up to 208 hp of power. The Audi Q5 model looks similar to the Audi A7 model. The key features in the Q5 model include good fuel economy, various engine options, spacious interior, long wheel base; capacious trunk and available Quattro all wheel drive system.

The mileage rates of the Audi Q5 TDI model are comparatively high, when compared with the petrol version. Three different modes are offered for driver to change the driving settings- Auto, Comfort and Dynamic. As the model is offered in both the Audi Q5 TDI and petrol options, customers are more likely to buy diesel version as the fuel economy rates are high and the cost of maintenance is low.
